Welcome to XingYi dot sg, a site dedicated to the teaching of XingYi and it variant with the inclusion of XingYi training with Master Victor Chong.
Of the three major internal arts of China, XingYi is the most confrontational. While Taiji favours redirection an opponent’s force and Bagua prefers evasive manoeuvre, XingYi exults in charging in with aggressive footwork and crushing power along lines of attack most defensively awkward for the foe. That said, Xingyiquan is still a soft art and both evasion and redirection are also integral to the style.
Master Victor Chong has been practising martial arts for over 30 years. He took up Taekwondo in 1972 and began practising external Chinese arts like Shaolin Hung Gar from the following year. In 1985, he competed in China as a member of the first Singapore National Wushu Delegation.
We will be constainly updates our activities and share some news and articles, locally and globally. We welcome you to register to XingYi dot sg or subscribe to the RSS Feed.
